Dear BLA II Parents and Students,

Welcome back for another fabulous school year. We are really excited to reunite the BLA II Family for another productive school year.

There are a few other small changes this year. As you may know, we share the campus with 4 other schools. Each year the schools rotate lunch times in the cafeteria in order to be fair to each school. As a result of our new lunch slot, we had to adjust our school schedule. Please note that our school day now starts everyday at 8:27am. On Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday the school day will end at 3:14pm. On Tuesday the school day will end at 2:14pm to allow for Professional Staff meetings. The new school schedule is as follows:

The first day of school for all students will be Wednesday September 9, 2009. Please remember to stock up on white collared shirts, black, grey, or navy skirts or pants and black or brown shoes before the school year begins. It is our professional dress that helps define who we are. We are a college preparatory academy. Our professional dress and academic focus will prepare you to be a leader in school, the community and the world. We will work with you and your family to ensure a successful transition to college. We know that you will feel at home here and have the supports you need to succeed.

Apreciados padres y estudiantes de BLA II:

Bienvenidos a un nuevo fabuloso ano escolar . Estamos realmente emosionados por reunir nuestra familia para trabajar en obtener un ano escolar productivo. Habra otros pequenos cambios durante este ano. Como usted debe saber, comaprtimos el edificio con 4 diferentes escuelas. Cada ano el horario de almuerzo debe rotar para favorecer a cada una de las mismas. Como resulatado hemos tenido que reajustar nuestro horario. Nuestro dia ahora comienza a las 9:00 lunes, miercoles, jueves y viernes. Los martes comenzaremos a las 10:00 para poder llevar a cabo nuestras reuniones profesionales. El horario de los martes es de 8:27 am-2:14 pm.

El primer dia de clases sera el 2 de septiembre del 2008. Tendremos un desayuno para los padres y los estudianes del grado 9. Tambien tendran la oportunidad de conocer nuestras facilidades; esto comenzando a las 9:15 am. Todos los demas estudiantes deberan reportarse a las 10:00 am.

Porfavor no olvide de tener suficientes uniformes: camisas (blancas, con botones y cuello) pantalones o faldas (negro, gris oscuro o azul oscuro) y zapatos (negros o marrones) antes que comienze el curso escolar. Es nuestra vestimenta profesional la que define quienes somos. Somos una academia de preparacion para el Colegio o la Universidad. El profesionalismo y enfoque academico nos ayuda a prepararnos para ser lideres en la escuela, la comunidad y el mundo. Trabajaremos con el estudiante y la familia para asegurar esa transicion universitaria. Sabemos que se sentiran comodos y que recibiran la ayuda necesaria para triunfar.

Espero trabajemos juntos durante el ano para asegurar que este ano sera un triunfo.
